Wonder of the Season

For four weeks I have struggled to clear my lungs of a lingering respiratory cold. This is a familiar occurrence whenever I catch a cold that sinks into the lungs since 2020. Back then, I had a severe respiratory ‘cold’ I could not shake for three months. My doctor has diagnosed my now vulnerable lungs as classic Covid long haul.

Today, feeling discouraged I went (yet again) to a store’s health section seeking more healing therapies. Before leaving the car, I prayed with my husband for the right person with right expertise and best possible product – all working toward my highest health – to come help me.

To my surprise the vitamin manager, Stephanie, was called to serve me. My husband and I had a lovely connection with Stephanie as her sister was our neighbor. Through our conversation we learned Stephanie entered the healing profession decades ago, after a miraculous cure from cancer.

Stephanie suggested healing products for me that she had given to her asthmatic mother for ten years. The regime had reduced her mother’s puffer use from four to one a day. Her mom used the health product until she passed at ninety. (Contact me if you are interested in these products.)

Hopeful once again, I thanked her and prepared to leave. Then, referring again to her own miraculous healing Stephanie said she knew the power of God and of the Holy Spirit working in her and felt called to share it. To my astonishment she asked, “Can I pray over you?”

Whaaat??! What is this? Where am I? Prosperity gospel? Science of the mind? No, I was standing in an aisle, shelving on two sides filled with vitamins, in a local store, on Winter’s Solstice, with the vitamin manager asking to pray over me.

Knowing my own miraculous healing of a frozen shoulder I humbly stepped forward to receive this most unexpected, good-hearted prayer. The vitamin angel placed her hand upon my shoulder and prayed for my healing.

As a tangible, visceral goodness, and energy poured through me, I wept with the wonder of it. Even if you do not believe in prayer or God my friends –

May the Wonder of the Season fill your lives every day.
