Buy Nothing, Give, Share Build Community

This morning I wrote a post to the Buy Nothing Armstrong, Spallumcheen and Enderby, BC: We are sending gratitude to you all. Yesterday our family gave away a baby, hiking backpack & baby bike rack. The mom told my husband and granddaughter that she we expecting a baby soon and would use these for her baby.

Our granddaughter told the mom-to-be that her mom hiked and biked with her as a baby in these. After the exchange our 4 year old granddaughter ran to tell Mom, Dad and me (Nanny) that the woman who took her baby things was SOOO Happy!

It was wonderful moment wherein we affirmed how great it feels to give things to other people. What a precious life lesson to anchor in a world caught up in consumerism that wastes so many resource.
