Still Quiet Voice Speaks
Heard my still, quiet voice (I know to be my guidance) telling me to go to the forest for guidance for our Foraging and Writing in the Wild Workshop starting this Thursday, September 14. Of course Mikaela, co-facilitator and myself, are fully prepared but I have learned to follow my guidance.
As I approached the path entering the giant cedar and fir forest, I paused and prayed. “Guide me to what is most important to transmit to our group as we attempt to inspire/awaken their creativity, and love of nature and their own wild writer.
I stood, eyes closed ...feeling my feet upon the earth…my breath slowly settling…the forest presence permeating me…and heard:
“We are connected to the forest, earth, water - not just onlookers. If we stop, pause, really look, listen, feel, we will see/hear/know creation is offering us many gifts…profound guidance…always there for us.”
Next I walked to the creek. I asked for workshop guidance from the water. “Tell your knowing of the river healing/restoring/cleansing you.” A knowing I have had of water and nature all my life.
I gave thanks for the wisdom within me and all around me.
With reverence I entered the wisdom gifted to me into my journal this day.
Rereading my journal the next morning (a morning ritual that deepens my learnings and connection to my guidance) I wrote:
“Lovely way to begin my day rereading my prior journal entry with my own wisdom speaking to me. Seeking guidance within, from creation and Creator, rather than turning to google/a book for an answer. Owning and anchoring my Wisdom and God knowing.”
